It has taken me 50 years to find my purpose. It’s to help you find yours. YOU are good for something… and I’m here to help you realize that. Purpose is a deep thought, and to understand it I believe you need to learn from the teachings of both the Dalai Lama and Dolly Parton. If uncovering the meaning of your existence is too overwhelming, then we will start by just pinpointing your passion. Because in order for this wakeup thing to work, you can’t just stay alive… you have to find something to live for.
Chances are, you deserve to be happier than you are right now. The key finding your happy—and more importantly—holding on to it? It’s simple. Watch less and do more. You can’t just look for happiness, you have to create it. I’m going to blog a lot about being ridiculously happy, without being overly sappy. Happiness is an inside job and you better start working for it.
Listen, you are not a caterpillar… you can’t eat a lot, sleep for a really long time and then wake up beautiful. Your body is going to be around a lot longer than that expensive handbag, so you better invest in it. I’m not going to tell you to take a giant step and then watch you slip. Instead, we are going to take a lot of little ones, together. Eat. Hydrate. Move. Sleep, Repeat.
I’m here to tell you, you can be a hot mess and good mom at the same time. Your angry mom voice is not your only super-power. You made an entire person. You can make it until bedtime. I’m completely and totally flawesome at being a mom and I’m going to share ways on how you can be flawesome too. Don’t worry, my mommy-hacks are more Amazon Prime than Pinterest. I advocate that time-outs are not just for children. Also, I believe you should never turn your back on your kids. Not because they might do something naughty, but because you might miss something wonderful.
Want to wake up your life? Then you need to wander where the wifi is weak. Travel is the best way to fuel your wanderlust... and to be both lost and found at the same time. Now, I know not all of us have the means to make to make memories all over the world, but when was the last time you ventured out of your comfort zone? Let's get day-trippin'. Wander, don’t wonder.
I’m comfortable in my own skin, thanks to serums, facials and fillers. Lipstick is my secret weapons and if it weren’t for fake lashes… I would have no lashes at all. I admit it. I’m a big cheater when it comes to beauty and I’m about to let you in on ALL of my skin-deep secrets. Act my age? Sometimes. Look my age? Never.
Think of this as my awesome junk drawer. It’s full of wonderful stuff, that has no business being together. In this mess, you may find a musing that is meaningful or a random thought that could lead somewhere wonderful. But, mostly, it's full of funny observations about the why we live, why we love and why we laugh.
